Coach Jamion Christian per la prima volta si racconta sui canali ufficiali della Pallacanestro Trieste.
Prima del suo arrivo in città per iniziare la preparazione estiva della squadra, coach Christian racconta la sua storia, come è approdato sulla panchina biancorossa e quali sono le sue aspettative in vista della prossima stagione sportiva.

“In molti mi chiedono “Come sei arrivato a Trieste?”. Beh prima di tutto è un’opportunità che ho sempre ricercato, quella di mettermi in gioco in Europa. Sono un grande amante del basket e di tutte le sue espressioni in giro per il mondo: ovunque si gioca in modo diverso, ci sono filosofie diverse. Durante il mio anno lontano dalla panchina ho iniziato un podcast che si chiama “Last Call” con Jamion Christian, un podcast per ispirare le persone. In uno di questi episodi sono entrato in contatto con Mike Arcieri (all’epoca GM di Varese) e mi sono subito innamorato della sua storia, di quanto tenga al lato umano delle persone e quanto ami la pallacanestro. Mi sono detto da subito che lavorare con una persona così sarebbe stata una fortuna, e lo ho detto anche a mia moglie. Quando poi è arrivata la chiamata da Trieste non abbiamo nemmeno dovuto parlarne, ho accettato questa grande opportunità. Il livello di condivisione e connessione con lui è massima, come lo è con la proprietà: un gruppo capace di immaginare un piano per questa società che punti a un successo duraturo negli anni. Sto cercando di creare lo stesso rapporto anche con i giocatori, che sento quotidianamente. Non vedo l’ora di essere a Trieste, per poter sentirmi vicino ai nostri tifosi, per gioire con loro, sono orgoglioso di poter dire di essere il vostro allenatore!”

Coach Jamion Christian is sharing his story for the first time on the official channels of Pallacanestro Trieste.
Before his arrival in the city to begin the team’s summer preparation, Coach Christian talks about how he ended up on the biancorossa bench and what his expectations are for the upcoming sports season.
Here’s an excerpt from his interview:
“A lot of people ask me, ‘How did you end up in Trieste?’ Well, first and foremost, it’s an opportunity I’ve always sought after—to challenge myself in Europe. I’m a huge basketball enthusiast, and I love all its different forms around the world. Everywhere the game is played, there are different philosophies. During my time away from coaching, I started a podcast called ‘Last Call’ with Jamion Christian, a podcast meant to inspire people. In one of the episodes, I got in touch with Mike Arcieri (who was the GM of Varese at the time), and I immediately fell in love with his story, how much he cares about the human side of people, and how much he loves basketball. I told myself right then that working with someone like him would be a stroke of luck, and I even mentioned it to my wife. So, when the call from Trieste came, we didn’t even have to discuss it—I accepted this great opportunity. The level of connection and alignment with him and the ownership is fantastic, and they are a group capable of envisioning a long-term plan for this organization’s success. I’m trying to build the same kind of relationship with the players, whom I communicate with daily. I can’t wait to be in Trieste, to feel close to our fans, to celebrate with them. I’m proud to say that I am your coach!”
