A Manila (Filippine) la nazionale portoricana conquista i primi due punti del girone in una gara molto combattuta, decisa nel supplementare dopo il punteggio di 81 a 81 nei tempi regolamentari. Risultato finale: 101-96 per Porto Rico.

The Trieste forward took the court in the third quarter of the opening game of Group B, representing his Puerto Rico against South Sudan. In Manila (Philippines), the Puerto Rican national team secured their first two points of the group in a highly contested match, decided in overtime after the score was tied at 81-81 in regulation time. Final score: 101-96 in favor of Puerto Rico.
